MEDITATION- STATE OF MIND

Adi Shankaracharaya in the ''Six Stanzas on Nirvana'' written in the 8Th century AD,has given the best description ever of the state of absolute silence, which is in fact a description of the Absolute Transcendent Reality. This is the state which one has to reach in the MEDITATION OF SILENCE.This is the state of Non Dualism which has to be reached.Non Dualism has been described by Ramesh Balsekar as "Consciousness-at-rest is not aware of Itself. It becomes aware of Itself only when this sudden feeling, I-am, arises, the impersonal sense of being aware. And that is when Consciousness-at-rest becomes Consciousness-in-movement, Potential energy becomes actual energy. They are not two. Nothing separate comes out of Potential energy... That moment that science calls the Big Bang, the mystic calls the sudden arising of awareness..."
Six Stanzas on Nirvana
1) I am not mind, nor intellect, nor ego, nor the memory. I am not the five senses. I am beyond that. I am not the ether, nor the earth, nor the fire, nor the wind.I am indeed, that eternal knowledge and absolute bliss, Shiva, love and pure consciousness.
2) Neither can I be termed as energy, nor five types of breath, nor the seven material essences, nor the five coverings. Neither am I the five instruments of elimination, procreation, motion, grasping, or speaking. I am indeed, That eternal knowing and bliss, Shiva, love and pure consciousness.
3) I have no hatred or dislike, nor affiliation or liking, nor greed, nor delusion, nor pride or haughtiness, nor feelings of envy or jealousy. I have no duty, or any money, nor any desire, nor even liberation. I am indeed, That eternal knowing and bliss, Shiva, love and pure consciousness.
4) I have neither merit, nor demerit. I do not commit sins or good deeds, nor have happiness or sorrow, pain or pleasure. I do not need mantras, holy places, scriptures, rituals or sacrifices. I am none of the triad of the observer or one who experiences, the process of observing or experiencing, or any object being observed or experienced. I am indeed, That eternal knowing and bliss, Shiva, love and pure consciousness.
5) I do not have fear of death, as I do not have death. I have no separation from my true self, no doubt about my existence, nor have I discrimination on the basis of birth. I have no father or mother, nor did I have a birth. I am not the relative, nor the friend, nor the guru, nor the disciple. I am indeed, That eternal knowing and bliss, Shiva, love and pure consciousness..
6) I am all pervasive. I am without any attributes, and without any form. I have neither attachment to the world, nor to liberation .I have no wishes for anything because I am everything, everywhere, every time, always in equilibrium. I am indeed, That eternal knowing and bliss, Shiva, love and pure consciousness

SriVidya and Hanuman

Hanuman replied, “From the point of view of this body, I am your servant. From the point of view of life energy within me, I am infinitesimal particle of you. But realistically speaking,
"You and I are one and the same.”
This same high philosophy is echoed in Adi Shankaracharya’s Advaita epiphany, Manisha Panchakam. Upon hearing Hanuman’s reply, Sri Rama embraced Hanuman with affection and respect. Hanuman and Sri Rama are indeed one and the same. We have the dictum, “Sri Ramo Lalithambika, Sri Krishna Syamalatmika.”

There is an interesting anecdote in the form of a dialogue between Siva and Parvathy. When Siva proposed to incarnate as Hanuman, Parvathy asked Him, “What is my role?” Siva smilingly replied that Parvathy would be his tail. Therefore, Hanuman’s tail is Parvathy and Hanuman is Siva. Hanuman is thus the combination of Siva and Shakti. He is the embodiment of Sivashakthiaikyam.

Once, by tearing open his chest, Hanuman demonstrated the presence of Sri Rama and Sri Sita is his Daharakasa. Hanuman is the rarest of that rare combination of FAITH, DEVOTION and SURRENDER.

Meditate on Hanuman in your Chidakasa. Let Hanuman be slowly transformed into Sri Rama and Sita, who after some time get transfigured as Siva and Shakti. One can start this meditation with one’s Guru in the Chidakasa; and then Hanuman. In due course, Siva and Sakti change into two Divine Feet which, in turn, become SRI CHAKRA.
